As some of you might already know, !Cyantre has decided to leave to DA. He has now left me in charge of this group...and I must say, as surprised as I was about it all, I'm super excited to be here! In the next few weeks I'll be looking to get this group 'off the ground' so to speak...get things a bit more active. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them! Also, I will be taking on some crew members to help out with things...not sure yet what those things are exactly...but if you'd like to have a more active role in the group then I'd be happy to hear what you have to offer. I really look forward to flying the skies with you all

If this group hasn't seemed to be doing much in the last month or so, then you're observant-- it hasn't. I'm doing everything I can to stay on top of things but unfortunately I'm only able to access the internet through my Palm. My laptop gave up the ghost right about the same time deviations stopped posting from the group. Ha, interesting correlation.
The thing is, I can use the computers they provide at school, and also my room mate told me that I might be able to rent a laptop for classes. I will investigate this magic bright and early tomorrow, and not just because I have term papers, but because I've let you down as a comm

From the general consensus here, I can see (with some joy on my part) that the group is at least fairly well-regarded, and that if we ran some contests, that would be well-received.
The thing about running contests is that there are usually prizes in order, and I feel that my artistic skills would not be enough to offer a good incentive for participation. If you'd like to volunteer to help me set one up with your artwork as a prize of some kind, then that would be shiny. If not, I understand.
I also saw artistic prompts would be helpful for some. I can start posting weekly prompts as journal entries, but I also know that prompts can get anno
